![]() ![]() I messaged Rich privately & then decided I want to hear anyone else's opinion. Not sure that this would be why I had WOT issues at all. In wondering the difference between the BUHW & BUHZW, I came across this thread. Other times it would run WOT just fine (but still not fast, only 4800 RPM - tach wired to rectifier, not switch box) if you backed slightly off WOT, no problems. Had talked with Rich about it, too, and I remember him saying he had the same experience. the engine would cut out almost as if I were running out of fuel. Last year I had problems with being at WOT and quickly losing power. Of course, none of these charts take into consideration the year, simply the model number of the motor. NGK's website identifies the BUHZW for my 1150 application. I came across a Mercury reference chart that identified the BUHW for my 1150 application as well. Pulled the plugs (installed last summer by Water's Edge Marine in Johnston, IA) from my Merc 1150 - they are Champion L76V plugs.Īccording to this cross reference chart,, the NGK equivalent is a BUHW. the thread 87 CVX16 has introduced spark plugs.
